Your Questions About Work Online Jobs

Sandra asks…

which sites offer really good information on “international online work at home jobs”?

I want to work online without any financial investment but with salary.

dknol answers:

You and EVERYONE else in the world… Most work from home JOBS… Start with employees in the workplace. I haven't found anything other than those typing/survey scams that will pay you to work online without some sort of investment (distributor/affiliate program) or referral from another employee (Be an ACTUAL employee).

Thomas asks…

Legit online or work from home jobs?

Hi everyone
1st thanks for any and all answers:
I am currently 6 months pregnant and just been put on bed-rest, I just hoping that some of you would know of some REAL work from home jobs ( like Assembly or making brochures) or online jobs to help my husband and I supplement our income.
Thanks again

dknol answers:

“If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate.”

There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.

If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as ‘Best'.

Jenny asks…

Are there any work from home (online) jobs that arent a scam?

I am looking for something to make a few bucks online. I see these data entry jobs but im not sure about paying to get a startup package. Any relevant info or a site that is not a scam would be helpful. Thanks for your time

Chris asks…

Does anyone know if online jobs really work or if they're a scam?

I'm a stay at home mom but would like to make extra money. The way my husbands schedule is, it's impossible to get a night or weekend job. Are these online jobs legit or scams? Does anyone know of any good ones?

dknol answers:

Depends what you sign up to. Do your research and find schemes that are recommended by lots of independent users.

I'd recommend something like an online merchant's affiliate scheme. There are plenty of these available and you can start off at your own speed and with little investment in time or effort at the start. Look at the affiliate forums for recommendations, and check out the terms and conditions of the scheme before you sign up. Pick an item or sector you have an interest in and you think you'd be happy to sell on behalf of the merchant. You get a guaranteed commission on every sale made through your site and it's payable monthly, normally.

If you don't trust individual merchants, sign up to a scheme through a trusted affiliate network like TradeDoubler, where you get the same commission, and they do the payment, so you know it's all bonafide.

All you need to do then is set up your website and market it. People can buy your wares at any time of day from all over the world, and you can, in theory, make money when it suits you, even in your sleep! In practice it's a little harder work, but it is certainly possible to make a living.
