Your Questions About Mp3 Players Compatible With Itunes

Maria asks…

I just downloaded ITunes, is it compatible with a Sandisk MP3 Player?

I needed a home library for my music and ITunes looks great, but I don't have an IPod. My MP3 player is a Sandisk. Is Itunes compatible with other manufacturers players?

dknol answers:

To play DRM protected iTunes music on a non-Apple MP3 player or phone, you need to convert the iTunes music to MP3 files first. The easiest way is to burn an audio CD in iTunes and rip it back as MP3. Or you can get DRM media converter to help you. It works great for removing DRM from iTunes music and converting iTunes music to mp3.

How do you make Wharfdale (mp3) compatible with itunes?

I have a Wharfdale mp3 player, and I was wondering if it's possible to make it compatible with itunes rather than windows media player. Thanks!

PS: I'm not really a computery person…so make it as simple as possible!!!

dknol answers:

I'll make this as simple as possible for you…

No you can't! :P

iTunes is solely for use with iPods, therefore it cannot be syncronised with any other MP3 players.

I hope the above helps. Should you require any further help or support, please feel free to email me at ipodsupport@live.co.uk

I have a iPod Nano-2nd generation and im thinking of getting a Samsung MP3 player. i trust and only use Samsung electronics.. now at least. Which one would be the best for me? Donna asks…

itunes compatible mp3 player?

I'm looking for an mp3 player that itunes can be put on.I bought what I thought would be a decent one and it doesn't accept itunes files. I don't want to spend the money for a ipod because my child often asks for things then doesn't use them. So I'm not looking for quality. I just don't want her playing with my phone for music. Any suggestions??

dknol answers:

As the music in iTunes is encrypted with DRM, you cannot directly put it on any non-Apple MP3 player. The easiest way is to burn the music to an audio CD and then rip it back to Windows Media Player or a similar program as an MP3. Or you can get some software to help you. I use TuneClone to do this. Though not free, it is very well worth a try.
