What degree should I get to be a Personal Trainer?
I read online that there is a degree called Health Fitness that lets you become a personal trainer as well as a Physical Education. Is this the degree I should take or is there one with a different name?
You just need a certification in PT. There are many certs through organizations like NASM, ACSM, ACE, etc. You don't need to go for college for this.
Some gyms prefer or require you to have a degree relating to fitness. Commonly, it's kinesiology.
What is a good meal to have after a workout?
I recenlty started working out and I find myself very hungry after. What is a good healthy meal to have after a workout??? or can anyone direct me to a health & fitness website. Thanks
I work out 1st thing in the morning so what should I eat if I'm supposed to eat carbs before???
I need to loose FAT not build muscle..
I make a great fruit smoothie!
Put frozen fruit, yogurt (or a banana) and juice in a blender, mix it up and Voila! Filling and tastes great. My favorite kind is wiht pinapples and honeydew mlon, vanilla yogurt and pinapple juice. It tastes like a pina colda, but the flavor possibilities are endless. It's a great on-the-go breakfast too. In fact I lost 60 pound eating these for breakfast and replacing high cal high fat snacks with my smoothies.
I also work out first thing in the morning before i have my shake
How do I visualize the things that I want when I have so many things that I desire, it's overwhelming?
Say for example, I want financial succes, health & fitness, a life partner, world travel etc…Do I visualize them all at once or one at a time? If we do everything on our wish list, Won't that take up too much of our time becoz if we want this technique to work, we have to do it few times a day. None of the mind power books I read are clear about that.
A lot of goals in life are long-term achievements. In order to have the things you desire, focus on education, health and fitness. The others will come in time. In order to gain financial success, you need a good education. Health and fitness should allow you to live a long life in order to achieve those goals. With a good job and financial success you will gain the ability to travel, have a nice home, etc. Your overall good mental health and success will make you a desirable person for a life partner. They can all be achieved with dedication and work. Focus on what can be done today…education, health and fitness.
What do I have to do to get a super toned body and washboard abs?
I am a 25 year old female. 5'6 & weight 155lbs.
Health & Fitness experts out there…I am looking for serious advice. I don't want to have huge muscles, I am aiming to lose fat mainly but I do want to have a tight toned body. There isn't a gym near my home so sadly thats not an option but i exercise daily.
What I want to know is what I should be eating & when and also what type of exercises I should be doing.
Also, if there are any supplements, vitamins, shakes, etc in particular that would be most beneficial.
Everyone has a problem spot. It can be around the stomach, thighs, arms or chest. No matter where your trouble spot is, the solution is exactly the same. You need to eat less and exercise more. The reason why there's only one solution for all of these problems is because it's impossible to tell your body where to burn the excess fat from.
When you eat too many calories, your body stores the excess energy as fat in different areas around the body. To lose this fat, you need to create a calorie deficit (eat less than you burn) to force your body to start burning that fat for energy. There is absolutely no way to control where your body goes to find this extra fat. A tool such as the calorie calculator – http://calorieneedscalculator.com will help you figure out how many calories you need each day.
The larger your calorie deficit (a bigger calorie deficit means a bigger difference between what you eat and what you burn) the faster your body will burn excess fat and the quicker your body fat percentage will start to decrease. You can increase your calorie deficit by cutting your daily intake and exercising more. Sit ups will do nothing to target the fat around your abs just like squats will do nothing to target the fat around your thighs.
How should I advertise my two different businesses?
I have two different businesses. I have a cleaning business and I have a (home based) health/fitness business. I need help on how I should advertise them both. (I only have one car).
Word of mouth/referrals are your best, lowest cost advertising. Talk to your existing clients, “Do you like the service I've given? Could I have contact info for some people that you know that might also like my service?” Happy customers can be very giving.
