Please tell me if this buy is worth it or not. The price of this buy is $2799.00 + Tax when that comes around.
I'm looking for a gaming laptop, so if you have anything better and cheaper, please tell me!
Those specs are very high end for a laptop, very high.
It is worth the price, except there are some things that aren't very good with the design of this computer.
1.5GB of video ram is overkill, you'll need 2 monitors to use up that video ram and thats with heavy gaming. 8GB of ram is overkill, but will make it slightly futureproof. RAID 0 is also a bad option, if one drive fails, you lose all your data.
Everything else is looking good.
I suggest you check out the ASUS G74 series of laptops. They are very high end gaming laptops at much cheaper prices.
Is this a good laptop build?

i want to buy it.
I have the same computer as you! Except mine is one year old and got a free upgrade to windows seven. I paid 700 $ for it, so according to yahoo's currency converter, you're selling it for a bit over half price. That seems fair to me. I would suggest that you market it towards someone who needs their first computer, wants it to be fast, isn't a hardcore gamer, and doesnt want to spen a lot of cash. It will beat anything else in that price range performance wise.
can my laptop run garrys mod?

Logic dictates that a desktop would be the preferred machine. The laptop is so compact, how do you dissipate the heat sufficiently? A desktop on the other hand has more room for air to ciculate arround the components, multiple 120mm fans in lieu of 1 CPU fan, really what the weight has to do with playing the game. You want to be careful the new range of Acer Laptops use a shared graphics, which means they share the ram memory?
