if you go to this site it has every wow server and there horde and alliance ratio.this is probably the best place to check for what your after.most servers are horde dominant but always worth having a look through

i myself like the relam sen’jin its a good relam with people who always help
us hellscream it loaded pve
us blacktock pvp however there are many many hordes aswell and alot of gank be warned

Now that that’s out of the way, Tichondrius is the best PvP Server in the world. It is also one of the few release servers & has maximum population. You won’t find an empty world here. You will find the following things true on Tichondrius:
1. Major PvP guilds like Insurrection, Notorious, The Core, Insomnia, Grim Vengeance play on this server. If you can make it into one of these guilds, you’ll get free epics for life.
2. Intense PvP competition on Bloodlust Battlegroup. Queue up for an arena match or a battleground and you’ll soon find out the hard way.
3. Big population, popular server, known as many to be the best PvP Server.
4. World PvP can be fun.
5. Major Raiding progression. The Core has cleared Mt. Hyjal even.
6. This server is a release server, so it plays on the newest technology. There will be no lag.

Any High population server would be annoying because of the lag and sometimes you have to wait to be able to log in.
i suggest joining a low or medium server

i for one am an alliance on the server ravenholdt.
this server is awesome but we tend to lack in the rp area.
as in we dont rp as much being a RPPVP server.
and wg is mostly won by the horde.
