I’ve seen your website and your replacement parts seem the cheapest. However, I can’t seem to find the 120GB replacement hard drive. Do you guys not carry it?
@MrElmeraron1 Yes this is a drive issue. To fix you will need to replace the drive.
Hello does doing this fix the Error 5 Contact Support Message or does it end up being a waste of money to do? Because I believe Error 5 is a bad hard drive? I dont know can someone help?
How exactly do you reinsert the ribbon?
I have the 120 zune I want take it apart to replace the battery but I cannot get the top cap to pop off I don’t want to damage it any furher any suggestion’s?
Im looking for a video on how to replace an 80 gb zune battery. Any suggestions will help.
I have a 120 that has been restarting, today it rebooted and is stuck on the loading screen at almost 100%. Any idea what this could be?
@MVLINEMAN Just the opener and the T4 screwdriver. The triwing is not required.
All these tools are on the RepairsUniverse (dot) com web site.
@ElLeonDeLaSierra i dont know if anyone has replied already to you, or if you solved your problem yet, but what you do is you plug in your zune, bring up the software on your computer, go to SETTING, then to Device, on one of the coices in the list , when you click on one it will say erase all on device or something like that, then let it delete everything. after just upload everything again
what are all of the tools that you would need to take apart the zune? is it only the OPENER and T4? or do you also need the TRIWING SCREWDRIVER?
Thank you
what do u think i damaged
I have a repair question. I think something is wrong with my Zune’s pad (80 gig). No matter what I click, or where I click on the pad, it always just goes left. Whenever I reset it, the pad works for a few seconds, but then reverts back to going left. Is there anything I could do without opening the Zune? Or is that going to be my only solution?
no the port looks ok: no sure how i connected it backward
Have you damaged the dock /charge port?
I believe you can but we do not do modifications only repairs so we can not help you a great deal with this.
i have the 80gb model, and it looks much better than the 120gb, all they needed to do was replace the hard drive, the appearance of the 120gb model is ugly. i want to know if it possible to put the 120gb hard drive or even a bigger one to my zune ?
i accidently connected the usb cable from my pc to the zune backward. the zune slowly went dead. what part was damaged by doing that
what if i accidentally pulled the orange flex cable out from where it’s attached to the front panel? i tried to put it back but it seems loose, like it’s not in right…
Sounds like the drive is ok the way out. You may need to replace it soon.
got a question when i shut down my zune for over 6 hrs and when i try to turn it on and see and listen my music its frozes up most up the times and it resets itself what can i do ? some times appears message 5 in the screen also sometimes theres missing items in the playlist

i’m pretty sure i just stripped the screw so i’ll try hammering in a flathead to remove the screw…
Yes, We sell the batteries on the RepairsUniverse (dot) com web site.
It’s simply a case of removing the old battery and soldering the new one into place.
Is there a way to replace the batter by it self?
T4 screwdriver. These are available on the RepairsUniverse (dot) com web site.
