What Is Wrong With My Mp3 Player? How Come In My Headphones In Only Plays In The Right Ear?how Can I Fix It?

I have a Sansa SanDisk mp3 player 1GB. When I had the original headphones it shorted out and played in the right ear. Then when I bought another headphones it shorted out again and plays in the right ear. Then I got some old headphones and put it in same thing. But the weird part is that the headphones work when I plug in my CD PLAYER or Computer.
