The adaptor was plugged into a standard wall outlet and it overheated, melted and caused the itouch to become damaged. I would not recommend using anything other than bonafide Apple adaptors

Just received this yesterday and plugged it into my iPhone 3GS. Triangular warning message popped up on the screen: “Charging is not supported by this accessory.” Returning it tomorrow. Buyers beware!!

Got two in the mail, a week later, two in the garbage. Next time I’ll pay more and get a name brand. Much cheaper than the good brands, and I got what I paid for. Don’t make my mistake if your time is worth anything.
