Whats the difference between the iPod touch generations?

So whats the difference between the 1st generation and the 2nd generation of the iPod touch? I don’t know if there is a 3rd generation but if there is whats the difference of that too. K, thanks! I have an iPod nano 5th generation but my birthday is coming up.. well kind of. Haha. And yeah I want a iPod touch. Thanks in advance for the help!

The look of it is different. My friend has an older one and it is a little bulkier than mine and looks slightly different(which is the newest generation) the rest is pretty much the same
Well, compared to the first generation, the 2nd gen has a new design, built in speaker and has volume controls.
The 3rd generation 8GB model hasn’t changed from the second, but the 32GB model now has voice control and is faster than the 2nd gen. But the 3rd gen doesn’t come in 16GB models anymore, instead it comes in 8, 32 and 64.
