WOW that like that James bond car, only difference is the bond remote was a phone, very impressive! but is it secure that no one else can gain access to your car by their ipod?
Hey! You probably all think that this is a scam, but you can get free apple ipods with lockerz! Proven safe and legit by the BBC, no credit details are required! All you have to do is earn PTZ by logging in each day and answering a question. After a while, these points are exchanged for free stuff! The site affords this because it is paid by advertisers. Check out my video for proof and for some instant invites!
Hope the connection is encrypted well enough! LOL I would hate to have the car do something while on the highway… might kill you… just saying.
yeah but I’d do mine on an old timer :D it only needs to be checked 1nce in belgium when it changes owner :D
be glad you live in australia belgium is the worst country in the world for cars, i had a suspension thats good for all europe and usa exept 1 country… belgium :D
That’s correct, the point of the video was to show connecting via the 3G connection so that the car could be anywhere. Regarding the door handles, I did that on an RX-3 about 19 years ago (which also had remote start, but using a direct RF connection instead of a web interface obviously) and also smoothed over the fuel filler (moved it inside the trunk) but got busted big time for roadworthy. In Australia the law says you need mechanical door releases
but the in the video you connected to 3g? or is their latence on the wifi to.
the next geeky thing i’d like to do to my car is take out the doorhandles and fill them so the car is super smooth and then spring doors :D
Yes, and the web interface itself is super-fast (it’s only a tiny amount of PHP, doesn’t even use a templating system) but because it’s going out via the 3G connection there’s a fair bit of latency.
As explained in the video and on the page linked to in the video info, it’s not an app. It’s a web interface being served out of the computer in the car, and the iPod was simply running a full-screen web browser.
Already done. The Alix-1 computer has a WiFi card in it, but in the video I only showed a tiny part of what the system can do
That’s probably 1of the coolest things I’ve ever seen an iPod do
Omg!!!Dude thats like James Bond shit….sooooo coool…..Where are the machine guns and lasers?
Wouldn’t that be a bit too easy to hack?
I’ll stick to the conventional way, no thanx. I bet all that electronics in the back there can cause a fire too.
what is the name of the app????
maybe a small tip: ad a normal wireless router to your system so when you are close to your care it gets on wifi of car and not ‘slow’ 3g, well its just an idea ’cause i know i wouldn’t have the patience :D
i thought it was gonna drive
what is the name of the app
Lol :)
yeeah wata shame
now if you where able to drive it with the ipod that would be great
O_O I want! Imagine if you had a wifi adapter on the cumpter..you would never need keyes
I hoped for some remote driving man :)
well done, i’m impressed. shame its so slow though. did you write the web app?
@lollipop2kewl my honda will start in first , but it jumps and stalls
