How can I get the music from one iPod to another via a new computer?
I got a new iPod recently and I want to add all the songs from my old iPod to the new one. The problem is that the computer I had my whole library on crashed, and that most of my songs were not purchased with iTunes. Is there any way I can put the songs from my old iPod to this computer and then to my new iPod?

Just connect it the old iPod to iTunes and try to import those songs from your iPod into your iTunes library. It helps to know if this is a touch, a nano, what generation etc. so sorry I can’t be more specific.
Well i asume one of two things when you say they wernt purchased in itunes 1. You ripped them from a cd
2.You downloaded them (illegally)
So if its the first just re-rip it if the second just download them again no big deal and for the ones purchased in itunes just log in to that account
That happened to me, so I downloaded a program called Senuti. It’s a program where you can transfer songs from your iPod to your computer (the first 1,000 songs are free). I had put a lot of my stuff on CDs so I didn’t need the full 1,000 song transfer, but it’s really easy to use. You just click on the mp3s you want from your iPod, click transfer, and it automatically puts it into your iTunes. I used in on my MacBook Pro, but there’s also a download for PCs, if you have one.
I recommend an iPod to iPod/iPhone Transfer to you.
It can copy and transfer any files from your iPod including video, music, photo, apps, tv shows, podcast to another iPod or iPhone.

u cant really drag music from ipod to itunes directly, but try doing this:i dont know if this will work, but its worth a shot. first go to windows explorer and press alt to open the toolbar. then go to tools and then folder options. then go to the view tab and select the bullet that says show hidden files and folders. then plug ur ipod in and go to my computer, then ipod, then ipod_control, and there should be a folder that says music. then if u open that it has more folders with all the music in ur ipod in it, but the problem is that the names are all messed up. like its BCTC or something. but the artist, album, and genre come up so it shudnt be too hard to find unless ur looking for a specific song and u have a lot of songs. then i guess u can make a folder on ur desktop and drag all the music into that folder. and even tho it doesnt have the name, once u play it on media player, it tells the name. so the name its given is probably a code and i wouldnt mess with it. u can try and it mite work but i dont know if it will mess up. and if u want it on itunes, u can import music. who knows, maybe the coded name mite go back to the original name once its in itunes like it did on media player. anyways, good luck!
