Depend upon your computer’s media player.
In iTunes, you change your import settings (under Preferences) to a lower sample rate, then select the songs you wish to re-sample, and under the ‘Advanced’ header, choose ‘Convert Selection to mp3′. This will result in a 2nd copy of all those songs in iTunes; the original, plus a more-compressed version for your player. I’d suggest renaming one set of them so you can identify them more easily.
what’s you MP3 Player? if you’re using Tushiba, it has a Program called “Gigabeat Room” and an especial Audio format which allows you to save Very little extra space in your Player. also you do know that by changing MP3 format to something even smaller the quality of the song changes dramatically to garbage. just to let you know…
The only way is to lower the bitrate (quality) when ripping CDs to mp3 format. The mp3 format is already a compressed format, but the lower the bitrate, the smaller the track size. There is no Zip program for mp3s unfortunately!
