Well, Brian, let’s just say I had a brain fart. I kicked myself in the butt and actually opened up the owner’s manual and answered my question. Duh. lol I’ve been doing this too many decades to not rely on my owner’s manual. Sorry to have bothered you.
I do have one of these mixers that I use now. It doesn’t have LED level indicators for each channel. Also, maybe it’s just me but, I couldn’t find a way for the player to stop after one song, just just does continuous. Have I missed something. Also, one question regarding the knobs for the different input channels L/R. When changing a input for a channel, sometimes I go over the channel that’s playing and it automatically cuts it out. How do I avoid this? I’m sure it’s something simple. lol

I wish this mixer had echo/reverb for second mike. That would be great for Karaoke.
Also, wouldn’t a mixer with built in ipod support be more useful?

You can’t just ‘Drag and drop’ files.
The American Audio SDJ’s will ONLY accept/play MP3 files.
I had a Denon Dn-x500, but sold it. I regret it now, and wanted to buy a new one, but then I came across this one! A built in backup/extra player! Nice! The only drawback is that it doesn`t have pfl-meters on each channel, but I think I can do fine without it. BUT how is the sound quality compared to the Denon? Thought you would be the right person to ask since you own both. Have you used the American Audio mixer on a gig btw?
I have seen someone play up to four tunes at once two CD’S and two records it’s not easy.

Yeah you are right about the dinner sets, etc. I don’t know why I flaked in the video and didn’t bother to list more practical applications than what I demonstrated.
Great vid, Bri. I can see it being really useful for overlaying jingles, sound drops or fun little loops.
You could also make a pre-mixed set on the SD card, for dinner or cocktail music when you’re doing mobiles too, I guess. Good stuff!
Thats a real sweet mixer. American Audio is putting out some real solid products , despite what others may say about them. I’ve been using one of their 1st midi/mp3 controllers called “The ProMix”. Not a bad product overall.

Was American Audiio “American DJ” before??? Looks like a cool mixer, I use 3 CDJ’s…one just for drops, so having it built into themixer like that would be sweet. Thanks for the demo!
