Your Questions About Work Online For Teenagers

Jenny asks…
Who on here works at home by doing an online job? Is your job hiring teenagers under the age of 18?
I need to know how to make money online for free doing something I like. I need a list of options. I have been to surveys that say they pay and haven’t earned a dime. I get offers that I have to complete and they cost money when I get no money. I just want a list of jobs teens can do online.

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do.
In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

Carol asks…
Why don’t Thai teenagers/young adults work while going to school? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you
Most middle class and rich Thai students (high school and college) are not working. The Thai parents have to support them until they graduate from college etc..
The Thai students have so much times –partying, chating online with strengers instead of developing strong work ethic as young age (18-22).
Thank you for your advice..
dknol answers:
Unlike the US or UK, the minimum wage is too low for middle-class to upper class Thai. Usually, their parents’ incomes are enough to support them through high-school and colleges. Thai colleges are not that expensive comparatively as there are heavily subsidies from the governments.
On the contrary, getting to government universities are really competitive and it gets harder every year. It is considered extremely prestigious to go to universities like Thammasart or Chulalongkorn.
Most of the Thai kids in high school on the contrary spend most of their times study, and going to special classes after school to prep them for entrance examinations. I did those two tormented years before I got into Thammasart University.
During the college years, because the tuition fees are not expensive, most students (considered privileged few during my time) do social works like rural development programme or join in student clubs of some kind. I guess these days things changed as students may spend most of their times outside classes enjoying themselves rather than building social consciousness like during the days that my school put up fights with tyranny. Thailand becomes democracy you see so students can now focus on study. Then again, those go to private colleges are probably well to do already and don’t have to bother working for a few extra income. Unlike the US or UK students where college tuitions are so unbelievably high that I think percentage wise Asian kids may be having higher level of education in the near future.
