ok maybe you guys didnt get it…..I DO NOT WANT AN IPOD TOUC!!!! i no they are cool but they get sooooo boring i no this cause my friend has one and i was there for a week and played with it alot and it was cool the firt day or two and then it way GAYYYYYYYYYY so hope you inderstand this time!!!!

Are there any MP3 players with WiFi that allow me to wirelessly access music files on my PC?
I’m looking for a portable MP3 player that I can connect to my home wireless network and use the WiFi connection to play music files kept in a shared folder on my PC. Does anything like that exist? I’ve seen that the Sansa Connect, Zune, and a few other’s have WiFi, but the wireless is only to connect to an online service. Does anyone know of something that fits the bill of what I’m looking for?

I can do this with my iPod Touch after it was hacked.I downloaded an App that let’s my Touch network to my itunes.

Although they are not dedicated mp3 players, some mobile phones have wifi and very good multimedia players (such as the nokia n series phones) and this has the added bonus of having only one thing to carry around!
An iPod touch would be your only other option but you say you don’t want one. If it’s because of the cost, then I can see why!

Cowon D3 Plenue also one the of best sounding players. Zune HD 63, Sony X series Walkman (audiophiles choice) $409. I go with the classic because of its accuracy (no features 160 gb hardrive though) and space (most you can get without going tablet. Hopes this helps cheers!
