Your Questions About Mp3 Players Deals

Linda asks…

What’s the deal with my mp3 players usb cord?

When I connect my mp3 player to my computer, the arrow thing shows up in the right corner of the screen on my computer, then it disappears. Besides clicking on that arrow icon, is there another way to safely eject my usb cord besides shutting down my computer?

dknol answers:

Hi,

Sounds like someone set it up so the icon is hidden either when not in use or all the time (except when you just start the USB device up).

Put your mouse cursor over that left-pointing arrow by where you’d normally see the remove-hardware icon and see if it moves to the left, exposing more icons.

Otherwise, right-click on the toolbar, de-select “lock toolbar”, select “properties”, de-select “hide inactive icons”, select “customize”, locate the “remove-hardware icon” item and make sure the setting is set for “always show”. Then re-lock the toolbar. (You might only need to de-select “hide inactive icons”, or you might like it better choosing the “remove-hardware” icon as always showing. I hope I didn’t confuse you. If you were here it would be easy to show you.)

Best of Luck.

Richard asks…

what is the deal with CD players that say they are MP3 too?

I bought this cd player that says it is a personal CD/MP3, so, is this cd player a mp3 player too. Will my cd player play songs like a mp3. What is an mp3? Do you have to dowload songs? Then if you do, how do you transfer them into your CD/MP3?

dknol answers:

You can play CD’s with music saved as MP3 files from the internet and etc, as well as “regular” CD’s.

I make copies of my CD’s with a program like Windows Media Player so I don’t need to worry about leaving the original CD’s in my car or losing the originals.

Daniel asks…

Will 2 GB MP3 Players Be Obsolete By Christmas?

I found a deal on a 2 GB MP3 Player and I wanted to purchased it for my friend as a Christmas present. But will 2 GB MP3 players be inexpensive by Christmas and I can wait to purchase it then?

dknol answers:

Well, everything becomes obsolete eventually.

Just a few years ago, a 512MB MP3 player was good.

Ten years ago, a 32MB MP3 player looked good!

Mandy asks…

I need some advice on ipod/mp3 players!?

I am brand new at this ipod/mp3 deal. I need some advice on the differences. Personally, I am looking for a player that is: 1) easy to download music to, 2) holds a decent amount of memory, 3) No more than $150 and 4) comes in black.

Any advice would help alot. Thanks

Oh and I really don’t care so much about video. This is primarily going to be used for music.

dknol answers:

In my opinion, iPods are the best MP3 players.
For your price range, I would definitely go with the 4GB new iPod nano. It holds up to 1,000 songs, and you can put videos and pictures on it too (if you want.) Its $149 (how convenient!).

The iTunes program is REALLY simple. You can buy music from it, or just store it. You just plug your iPod into the computer, it detects it on the program, and you can literally drag music from your iTunes library onto the iPod.

Carol asks…

about ipods and mp3 players?

I have an mp3 player that i’ve had for a long time about 2 years or so and it’s been giving me technical trouble. The music from fm radio keeps on fading in and out constantly and i don’t get very good reception from it. So therefore im looking into ipods and/or mp3 players and seeing what deals they have out there and which one are a good price for someone on a budget. I would like to try getting an ipod but im not sure how expensive they are or if they have any that may be relatively within a decent price. I just want something that’ll give me better reception and that the music won’t constantly fade in and out on me. If anyone could please give me any ideas on whats out there for mp3 players and/or ipods and some price figures it would be great. Thanks and have a good day.

Sincerely,
Adam.A from Mass

dknol answers:

You should really invest in an iPod. I was never for it, but I finally gave in to a fourth generation iPod and I love it! I have and iPad 2 now but the iPod is great for the price. I get most of my things on amazon cuz things always tend to be lower priced there and I got my 32Gb. IPod for $279 I believe. The only reason I gave in was because now it has a camera. Not many mp3′s have that and there are literally a million cool things to do with an iPod. You’ll love it too cuz it’s wifi enabled. Nothing will be regretted! Lol and there’s also the cheaper 16Gb version so check on that price too. Hope this helps!
