If Alcohol lowers testosterone, why are some people MORE aggressive when drinking?
If Alcohol lowers testosterone, why are some people MORE aggressive when drinking? Quoted from an MSN men’s health & fitness article I was reading: (“Alcohol consumption decreases testosterone,” says Glenn Cunningham, M.D., a professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Over time, decreased testosterone levels lead to an increase in obesity and fat tissue, and a decrease in muscle mass, libido and erectile function.) Somewhat conflicting from what I’ve seen with aggressive drinkers…

Wouldn’t it be nice if the human body were as simple as that?
Testosterone levels and aggressive behavior have only a tenuous link. On the other hand, there’s no doubt that alcohol suppresses a lot of our higher cortical processes, including learned “civilized” behavior. It also tends to blunt our critical thinking when it comes to song, dance and companionship, if you’ll notice.

I’m going to become a personal trainer soon. I need info on finding scientific articles and fitness seminars.
By articles, I’m not talking Shape or Women’s Health, I’m talking about where those magazines get their articles from. Can anyone provide me with some links? Especially other health and fitness professionals?

I am not writing your paper, but you should be able to gather enough info to write a good article.
